Subrahmanya Shashti – A Sacred Celebration The sixth day (Shashti) of the Shukla Paksha (waxing moon phase) is an auspicious occasion in the Hindu lunar calendar, revered as Subrahmanya Shashti. Every year, on this sacred day, we celebrate the Jaathra Mahotsava, a grand folk festival marking the divine birth and victorious triumph of Shree Subrahmanya Swamy over Tarakasura. This joyous occasion of this year was graced by the esteemed presence of His Holiness Shree Shree Advaitananda Bharati Swami, Peetadhipatigalu of Shree Shree Avani Shringeri Jagadguru Shankaracharya Mahasamstana, who traveled a great distance to bless us with his enlightening words.
